Kurt
Julius Goldstein, 90, a survivor of the
Nazi concentration camp at Auschwitz,
Poland, wipes away tears during his speech
in front of a photo of the camp during a
commemoration marking the 60th anniversary
of the death camp's liberation. German
Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder paid tribute
there to the victims of Auschwitz,
acknowledging the Nazis had wide public
support and promising that Germany will
fulfill its "moral obligation" to keep
alive the memory of Nazi crimes.
