Mr. Saul has grandiose plans
for the future with his "Visas for Life" project.
After his triumphant return from Yad Vashem in 1998
with his "Visas for Life" exhibit where he was able
to introduce two diplomats that where not awarded
the title of "Righteous", Hiram Bingham IV and
Paul Komor (a Hungarian diplomat stationed in
Shanghai), Mr. Saul reasoned the he can do much
better and expand considerably his database as there
was considerable money and publicity that could be
made through such an expansion. Why should he limit
himself to a few diplomats when there was a vast
number of diplomats around the globe, ready to be
grabbed, that could be transformed literally
overnight, with bogus Holocaust research, from
nobodies into heroes of the Holocaust?
And this exact master plan of
his can be found in the November 13, 1998, issue of
The Jewish Week -- an American publication
from New York, where we see Mr. Saul bragging
to a staff writer of his vision for the future with
his "Visas for Life" project. In the utterly
ridiculous title that appeared in that stated issue,
"'The Lost History Of The Holocaust'
--Remembering the little-known diplomats whose visas
were lifelines for 200,000 Jews", Mr. Saul
noted that
"there were at least
39 diplomats from 19 countries who rescued Jews.
As a result, what began as a tribute to a handful
of diplomats has ballooned into a major worldwide
search for other diplomat rescuers."
He then continued,
"This is really the
lost history of the Holocaust. Yad Vashem
recognizes 19 diplomats. We found 20 more --
including three Americans -- and three of the
diplomats are still alive. We're collecting data
on them all and passing it along to Yad Vashem in
the hope that they too will be recognized."
And why not. Yad Vashem
appears to be the perfect "vehicle" for
Mr. Saul's grandiose ambitions.
Indeed, Mr. Saul began
bragging almost everywhere how he single-handedly
was able to transform in the span of only three
years a virtually unknown Chinese diplomat into a
hero of the Holocaust. His name is
Dr. Feng Shan Ho (Exhibit -Ho) who in the year 2000 had received
from Yad Vashem the title of "Righteous Among the
Nations." It is this award, in our humble view, that
represents not only a travesty of due and careful
examination of the full existing evidence in support
of such a title but also, it is the mortal blow
delivered by Mr. Saul to the entire "Righteous Among
the Nations" program. (See also in this regard, a first hand dissent of Joan Deman, Exhibit -Deman.)
There is nothing, but
absolutely nothing, that Yad Vashem can do, in our
considerate view, that can repair the damages
created by Mr. Saul to its "Righteous Gentiles"
program. For all practical purposes this program is
beyond recovery and its present continuance must be
rendered suspect.
Finally, we have been alerted
that on May 25, 2003, Mr. Saul had secured the
domain name <RighteousDiplomats.org>
presumably designed to attract more victims into his
ever growing nest as his grandiose plans appear to
bear fruits, all rotten indeed.
This is the end of this very
sad and tragic story. It is a story that forever
will be linked with Yad Vashem. It is a story of
profound awakenings of the world in which we live.
Each and every affected institution or organization
must draw its own conclusion for the road ahead. We
did as much as we could to expose Eric Saul and
his "Visas for Life" project.
May God have mercy on Mr. Saul
because, most certainly, we will not.
Thank you for you attention to
this very important and sad matter.

We just have been
alerted that in Sacramento, CA, USA,
there is in fact a Foundation entitled "Visas for Life Foundation" incorporated as a
non-profit, tax-exempt entity under the
United States Internal Revenue Code
501(c)(3) with the Federal Employee
Identification Number 94-3326390. That
Foundation whose sole goal and purpose
of existence is to perpetuate the legacy
of the Japanese Righteous Consul Chiune
Sugihara has nothing, but absolutely
nothing, in common with the bogus "Visas
for Life" photo exhibits of Eric Saul.
In fact, the stated Foundation
emphatically prohibits Mr. Saul or
anyone else outside of its Board of
Directors to represent it in any form or
fashion. By all accounts, it appears
that this Foundation is a hostage to the
manipulative tactics of Eric Saul.
Indeed, with respect to Eric Saul's
usage of Visas for Life Foundation's name, the Chairperson
of the foundation, Anne Akabori, noted:
|
"Unless we
are willing to go into litigation, we
cannot do anything about the confusion
in our names. We do not want the
notoriety that comes with litigation,
nor do we have the time or money to
consider it."
|
PS-4. On March 12, 2004, a new
study has been posted with respect to
Eric Saul's February 2004 "Visas for Life" exhibit
in Jerusalem, Israel as reported by his friend and
devoted follower --the discredited Holocaust
survivor Solly Ganor.
PS-5. On March 7, 2005, Yad
Vashem rejected Eric Saul's petition for the late
Vice-Consul Hiram Bingham IV to be awarded with
the "Righteous Among the Nations" title. To see that
final rendering from Yad Vashem, please click in here.
